Engr. Okimba Godwin Ekpe (MNSE R. COREN) was born on 15^th September 1965 at Ohana in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State.  He attended St. James’ Primary School, Oke-Eshe, Ilesha, from where he proceeded to Ilesha Grammar School, Ilesha, Osun State.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Power Systems Engineering Technology from Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) and MBA from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho.

Engr. Ekpe joined the services of Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) as a Senior Electrical Engineer in 1994 and was posted to the Premier Zone, Calabar Free Trade Zone (CFTZ) in Cross River State.  He was later redeployed to Kano Free Trade Zone (KFTZ) as an Assistant Manager in 2007 and in 2015 he was posted back to Calabar Free Trade Zone where he served and rose to the position of Head Calabar Free Trade Zone in 2016.

Presently, he is the Director Planning, Research & Statistics Department at the NEPZA corporate Headquarters, Abuja.
