Engr Okimba Godwin Ekpe was born in Ohana, Obubra Local Government Area, Cross River State on September 15, 1965.

He started his primary Education St James’s RCM school, at St James’s Primary School Oke-Eshe, Ilesha, Osun State from where he proceeded to the prestigious Ilesha Grammar school, Ilesha in 1977 and graduated in 1982. Hewas later admitted into the Federal University of Technology Owerri where studied and graduated as a Power Systems Engineer in 1990. He later proceeded to Ladoke Akintola University. Ogbomoso Oyo state he did his MBA in. 2008/2009.

Engr, O, G. Ekpe joined the services of Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority as pioneer Engineers in March 14. 1994 and posted to Calabar he Rose to the rank of Assistant Director/ head of Engineering services. He was posted to Kano Free Trade first in 2004 and again in 2013 as Assistant to the Zonal Administrator. In 2015, Engr was posted back to Calabar Free Trade Zone as head CFTZ. In 2020, Engr, Ekpe was posted to NEPZA headquarters and is presently the AG. Director and Head of Planning, Research and Statistics Department.
