The Managing Director of Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority, NEPZA, Professor Adesoji Adesugba has described the designation of four international airports in the country as Special Economic Zones as a booster to national economic development.
Professor Adesoji Adesugba stated this when the Managing Director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Captain Rabiu Yadudu visited him in Abuja.
According to the Managing Director of NEPZA, the international airports are Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano and Port Harcourt International Airport.
While commending President Muhammadu Buhari for the move he said the Special Economic Zones would lead to the creation of over three thousand jobs and increase Nigeria’s Foreign Direct Investment, FDI.
